How Did I Miss This Awesome Bruno Mars 'Marry You" Wedding Proposal?

I have no idea how I missed this going around, but it is so awesome!

I love the laptops towards the end!  It's also awesome they thought of putting tissues next to her in the car, I certainly needed some!

Twas the day after Christmas

Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the house,
Every creature was hurtin', even the mouse.
The toys were all broken, their batteries dead;
Santa passed out, with some ice on his head.

Wrapping and ribbons just covered the floor,
While upstairs the family continued to snore.
And I in my T-shirt, new Reeboks and jeans,
I went into the kitchen and started to clean.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the sink to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the curtains, and threw up the sash.

Morrissey - Ouija Board - Talk About Flashback!

WOW!  I had totally forgotten that this song ever existed!

I haven't heard it in over 15 years and out of the blue Pandora played it in my mix and the memories came flooding back.  I played this song over and over again when my best friend Michelle was killed in a car accident when I was 16 (the year the song was released) and again when my only other best friend, Kris, was killed in  another automobile wreck 3 years later.

Of course back then I had it on cassette tape and wore it out pushing rewind, play, rewind, play until my finger was sore.  I have since replaced it with the MP3 version and listen to it fondly.

A Good Christian Woman

There was a man who worked all of his life and saved all of his money. He was a real miser when it came to his money. He loved money more than just about anything, and just before he died, he said to his wife, "Now listen, when I die, I want you to take all my money and place it in the casket with me. I wanna take my money to the afterlife."

So he got his wife to promise him with all her heart
that when he died, she would put all the money in the casket with him.

Well, one day he died. He was stretched out in the casket, the wife was sitting there in black next to her closest friend. When they finished the ceremony, just before the undertakers got ready to close the casket, the wife said "Wait just a minute!"

She had a shoe box with her, she came over with the box and placed it in the casket. Then the undertakers locked the casket down and rolled it away. Her friend said, "I hope you weren't crazy enough to put all that money in the casket."

"Yes," the wife said, "I promised. I'm a good Christian, I can't lie. I promised him that I was going to put that money in that casket with him."

"You mean to tell me you put every cent of his money in the casket with him?"

"I sure did. I got it all together, put it into my account and I wrote him a check." Hehehe

Bye-Bye Biscuit - Rest in Peace

After almost 10 years together, Biscuit left us during the night.  We were not expecting it as he seemed fine a few short days ago.  It is astonishing how quickly things can turn.

We will miss him, especially when he tries to rub our face in the night...

Lilypad - A Final Farewell

Regretfully, Lily's bites while decreasing in frequency began increasing in fierceness.  After a moderate bite on Thursday, Friday night delivered an extremely vicious unprovoked attack resulting in a trip to the Urgent Care Clinic.

It broke our heart, but we were left with no alternatives other than to have her put to sleep.  We spent our final morning with her walking around the lake letting her sniff every leaf she wanted too.  We stayed with her so my face and voice would be the last thing she would experience.

I am both grief stricken and heart broken.  I can't believe I fell so hard for this little lady.  I have never had a dog that had so much love to give and wanted to be loved so much, yet for some reason couldn't stop lashing out.  It's saddens me that something happened to such a wonderful animal that resulted in this type of behavior.  We have cried more in the past 3 days than we have in the past 5 years.

We only had her for a couple of months, but she had an impact on my heart that will never be forgotten.  Jerry & I miss her terribly.

Thank you to everyone for your love and support.
