I think I managed to snag the last VillaWare InterBake 3 on the Internet!  It has been discontinued and I am dying for some pizzelle and cannoli, but I wanted a dual purpose appliance that also made waffles.  Seems simple right?  NOT!

I originally purchased this item in Sept 2010. I have 3 dogs so I ordered 3 bottles. We use a 3 gallon water dispenser so I had to do a little math to calculate how much was needed for 3 gals of water. Our dogs are small coming in at 7, 10 and 12 pounds respectively, so their water lasts 7-10 days.

Very well done spoof on the recent trend of dancing down the aisle at weddings.  I doubt this will happen, pretty good look a likes!  Better than the movie they keep playing commercials for.
I think this would be Harry's idea of a jolly good time, but the Queen would most likely frown.

Best Hair Brush Ever!

Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I know it's weird.  Why am I writing about a brush?

I like how boar bristles leave my hair feeling, but the bristles often do not feel like they are stiff enough to penetrate all of my hair. 

I've been using the standard plastic tipped paddle brush on my dry hair and a wide tooth comb on my wet hair.  My hair is very healthy, shiny and has minimal breakage.  Last week I went shopping for a new brush

Little sad this Easter...Missing my nieces and nephew

Every Easter, Christmas and Birthday we deposit money into the accounts we opened for our twin nieces and our nephew when they were born.  As I transfer the funds into their accounts today, it is making my mind wander to both a happy and a sad place.

April is Autism Awareness Month

My adorable 28 month old nephew, Logan, was officially diagnosed with Autism today. 

He is fortunate to have excellent parents that even though he is their first child and they are in their early twenties, were mature and aware enough to know something just wasn't right with their son early on and availed themselves of every resource at their disposal to aid their son when by the age of 18 months he wasn't talking and didn't like to eat.

Logan started working with a Speech Therapist several months ago which helped lead to a diagnosis at this early stage.  Now with the official diagnosis, he will be able to start work with an Occupational Therapist and we have every confidence he will be able to "catch up" to his peers.

Jerry and I have been making a concerted effort to change our lifestyle and be more healthy all around. 

• We gave each other Planet Fitness memberships for Valentine's Day (he got off cheap),
• I am logging everything I eat and analyzing the nutritional content and passing the knowledge onto him,
• We are moving to a more temperate climate so we will be able to enjoy the outdoors more of the year (the heat kills me ever since I finished chemotherapy),
• Jerry takes lunches made for him with love from home,

Our goal is that in addition to looking and feeling better, my immune system will get a boost, both of our cholesterol levels will go down and Jerry's liver will return to normal.
