I think I managed to snag the last VillaWare InterBake 3 on the Internet!  It has been discontinued and I am dying for some pizzelle and cannoli, but I wanted a dual purpose appliance that also made waffles.  Seems simple right?  NOT!

I originally purchased this item in Sept 2010. I have 3 dogs so I ordered 3 bottles. We use a 3 gallon water dispenser so I had to do a little math to calculate how much was needed for 3 gals of water. Our dogs are small coming in at 7, 10 and 12 pounds respectively, so their water lasts 7-10 days.

Best Hair Brush Ever!

Yeah, yeah, yeah.  I know it's weird.  Why am I writing about a brush?

I like how boar bristles leave my hair feeling, but the bristles often do not feel like they are stiff enough to penetrate all of my hair. 

I've been using the standard plastic tipped paddle brush on my dry hair and a wide tooth comb on my wet hair.  My hair is very healthy, shiny and has minimal breakage.  Last week I went shopping for a new brush

Every Easter, Christmas and Birthday we deposit money into the accounts we opened for our twin nieces and our nephew when they were born.  As I transfer the funds into their accounts today, it is making my mind wander to both a happy and a sad place.

April is Autism Awareness Month

My adorable 28 month old nephew, Logan, was officially diagnosed with Autism today. 

He is fortunate to have excellent parents that even though he is their first child and they are in their early twenties, were mature and aware enough to know something just wasn't right with their son early on and availed themselves of every resource at their disposal to aid their son when by the age of 18 months he wasn't talking and didn't like to eat.

Logan started working with a Speech Therapist several months ago which helped lead to a diagnosis at this early stage.  Now with the official diagnosis, he will be able to start work with an Occupational Therapist and we have every confidence he will be able to "catch up" to his peers.

Jerry and I have been making a concerted effort to change our lifestyle and be more healthy all around. 

• We gave each other Planet Fitness memberships for Valentine's Day (he got off cheap),
• I am logging everything I eat and analyzing the nutritional content and passing the knowledge onto him,
• We are moving to a more temperate climate so we will be able to enjoy the outdoors more of the year (the heat kills me ever since I finished chemotherapy),
• Jerry takes lunches made for him with love from home,

Our goal is that in addition to looking and feeling better, my immune system will get a boost, both of our cholesterol levels will go down and Jerry's liver will return to normal.

I get quite tired of always having to 'speculate' on whether a famous person has bipolar disorder. I am on the TV, radio, etc to explain the illness and what I think of the person's behavior and if it's really bipolar. (It's always bipolar!)  I am sure there would have been calls about Catherine Zeta Jones if she had simply gone into the psych ward.  But she didn't! She told the truth!

San Antonio Highland Games & Celtic Music Festival

Had a great time at the festival on Saturday(http://www.sahga.com/).  I'm glad we went for the bands early sets instead of waiting for the late ones.  By 4:00, the clouds had gone away and it was full sunshine.  Sounds nice?  I hate it!  It was 90 degrees and after 4.5 hours, I was dripping, my face was bright red and I was exhausted.

This year had record crowds which was quite surprising since the Poteet Strawberry Festival was also this weekend and it is a MUCH bigger event.  I was disappointed upon hearing that.  The Strawberry Festival usually falls closer to my birthday, which is next Sunday, and Jerry & I were going to go this year since this is our last festival season in San Antonio.  Oh well.  We still have the Floresville Peanut Festival, Luling Watermelon Thump,

I have been a cat or dog owner since a very young age, so I've seen my fair share of fleas. A few months ago we introduced a months old Chihuahua pup to our home, which already had two dogs in it. Great week so far... Busy April planned

This week has been pretty good.  Jerry and I are laughing more than ever.  He's been so worried about me and he is adoringly protective.  The only times I've ever seen Jerry angry or protective is when you mess with his women (which means me or his mom).  I think this is going to be a great year for us and can't wait to see what happens.

After 3 months of fiddling with different dosages and times, the medication has finally started working without the side effects.  Jerry says I'm no longer doing the Riverdance in my sleep and the hand tremors have ceased almost completely!  Great!  I can hold a pen AND write legibly again.  Yay me!

Jerry's position with the county scored us Office 2010 Professional, Project 2010 and Visio 2010 for $30!  Couldn't beat that and now I can teach myself OneNote, Project and Visio to add to my resume.
